Won't say much about the cameras - got one, it works, getting used to the
controls takes a lot of time, using all of the "manual" type settings really
slows things down, so I shoot in auto mode.
My charger is also light enough that I would carry it with me, plus an extra
battery.
What I did on a recent trip in China was to find a kiosk that would transfer
the pictures on my card to a CD-R. Got 512 onto one CD. A card reader is
also light, so one could carry one and mail blank CDs. Of course that makes
it an extra 4 oz for the charger and reader, but ......... So, what is the
chance of finding someone with a PC, some blank CDs, and a reader along the
trail?
