Yes, yes and what a wonderful day that was!  We couldn't have asked for a 
more beautiful day.  

Sure wish I still had my guidebooks, but starting at Berthoud Pass we camped 
at an alpine lake (King?) some 17 miles later.  Jim Wolf described it as "the 
crown jewel of the CDT" and that it was.

There was an easier "traverse" according to the guidebook (up and over), but 
I was at the back of the pack and the others decided on a short cut over the 
talus.

Probably my finest hiking day ever!  Or as George Bush would say, "It was 
hard work."  LOL...
