[pct-l] foot wear

Realizing too late to go back home that I'd forgotten my shoes/boots for hiking in some of Utah's national parks this past October, we stopped in Reno at Sierra Trading Post and I bought Columbia's Black Rock Shoes for $44.95 (originally $77.95).

A few days ago I re'cd. their latest catalog and see they are still around. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I agree with the ad in the catalog. "The traction of a hiking boot, the breathability and light weight of a trail runner - versatile enough for scrambling, mountain biking, trail running and day hikes...slightly clawed for trail-digging action." Supportive, incredible traction and exceptionally comfortable. A great deal (for me at least) at twice the price.

Merry Christmas everyone.
