If you are starting at the Mexican border, then cross over to Tijuana and 
get some Tinidazole. Mexico is easily accessable from downtown San Diego 
via public transport (the "Trolley.")

Tinidazole is much better and cheaper than Flagil, but not approved in the 
USA. It is a well known, and common cheap generic outside the USA and no 
drug company would be able to recover the costs of getting it approved by 
the FDA. It is legal to bring back enough for personal use. (50 "dosage 
units" whatever that means.) You only take it one time, as apposed to 5-7 
days for Flagyl
