Subject: [pct-l] stretchy gaiters

While the question was how to make them..., my response is to not ignore
that question but to give direction to those who would like some very
lightweight gaiters made of a stretchy material but don't want to make
them. Joe Dana, an ultrarunner from Tucson, makes such a gaiter that
attaches in the back by velcro with a metal clasp over the shoelaces in
the front. I think the pair was under an ounce, cost about $23/pair and
lasted in the 1000 mile range. It's always nice to support a cottage
industry with a good product. I don't have an email/website for him but
the product is shown in the Trailjournals.com gear gallery at
http://trailjournals.com/gear.cfm?trailname=32 His address is below. Buzz
