[pct-l] Re:Sandals
Oh, yeah. And directly leads to your local outfitter going away. While your
there, why don't you just go ahead and slip a little cash out of the
register. Same thing.
I just bought a pair of boots the other day. The outfitter spent the time to
talk about different boots and to fit me. Now I could have told them I'd
think about it and then called the manufacturer. They would have undoubtedly
be willing to give me a deep discount or even free.
But the outfitter took the time to fit me and they got my money, full
retail. Anything else is just poor form and short sighted economics. If you
are going to do your shopping for an item online, do *all* your shopping
online. Don't go down to your local outfitter and look it over and try it
out, then buy it online. That way you know how your shopping experience is
going to go after your local outfitter is gone.
Plus I really like having a good outfitter here to compete with REI.
Sorry, pet peeve of mine.
