Good evening, Dude,
I think many of us, me included, get wrapped around our own axles trying to
apply the latest technology to every problem. It reminds me of the story
about how NASA supposedly spent an obscene amount of treasure developing a
ballpoint pen that would reliably write in a zero-g environment. The
Russians thought about that for a while, then gave their Cosmonauts a
pencil.
As I write this I am also downloading all of the trackpoints of my latest
trip from the GPS memory to my computer mapping program, after which I will
probably pitch the marked-up paper map.
