I bought a Nikon Coolpix 4100 in July. My requirements were similar to
yours:

* AA batteries so I can buy them anywhere - They last ok, but I could use
lithium AAs or a CRV3 for longer life.
* 7 ounces with batteries and film card
* SD media card
* 4 megapixels
* Optical viewfinder so I can turn the display off to save batteries

However, it's not weather resistant. This wasn't a big deal to me, as I can
keep it dry.

Photo quality is great - no complaints.

About $300. It's not as small as the credit card cameras, but easier to
handle, and only a bit heavier.
