If you're going SoBo through Lassen NP, and if you are a 'water'
person, consider the alternate between Badger Flat and Lower Twin
Lake...  the alternate goes through the Cluster Lakes area and should be
very enjoyable  this late in the year (skeeters can cause insanity in
early summer, DEET or no DEET!).
