[pct-l] Fuller Ridge Remote Campsite

Hi Dana There is a very large camp site where the trail crosses Fuller
ridge but after that its all down hill for about 16 miles. When you get to
the bottom you could probably camp there but at this point you only have
about 2.5 miles to go to the I-10. I did saddle junction to the I-10 taking
2 days with 2 of my grandchildren. I did hwy 74 to saddle junction alone and
did that as an over niter. I don't know if anyone is caching water anywhere
but if you are starting at fobes saddle you won't come across water until
you get to the creek just east of saddle junction if its still running. The
next water source is san jacinto river which is more of a creek, if its
still running? There is water at fuller ridge about a mile off trail and
then the next water source is at the bottom of the mountain thanks to desert
valley water agency. They put a drinking fountain there for the hikers. The
trail goes right to it then you go down the black top road until you get to
the dirt trail again just past snow creek village. It is going to be really
HOT so you will need plenty of H2O!! Any Questions? Ground Pounder Bill

Subject: [pct-l] Fuller Ridge Remote Campsite

> My party is going from Fobes Saddle to Highway 10 on Sunday. We plan for
three days. If the section isn't closed I wanted to know if there is any
camping spots available on the way down after the Fuller Ridge Remote
Campsite. We want want to make the last leg as short as possible and need to
know if there is an area big enough for three tents.
