[pct-l] filters ? who needs 'em !!!



Right, and that's to say nothing of Aquamira. I used it for the first time
on my most recent trip, and it was amazing. Flavorless, effective, faster
than filtering and infinitely lighter. It was the easiest 10 ounces I ever
dropped off my pack.

I agree.  in 1998 I did the JMT with zero treatment or filters.  just scoop
and drink.

The Sierra can accomodate this technique, but the lower areas cannot
accomodate this as easily, especially those near livestock.
