Dude is right, JMT is spectatular. Outside of the 1st night out of
Yosemite, you frequently can find a spot to camp with no one else
anywhere in sight, and definitely none of this campground side by side
stuff. You may meet 3 to 10 people a day, but it's fun to stop for a
moment and exchange bear stories, etc. This assumes you are carrying
an adequately sized bear container. i.e. a Bearikade Expedition or
equiv. People flock by the few locations with bear boxes.
