[pct-l] Kearsarge Pass trail question

The trail from Independence over Kearsage Pass should be just fine. You
shouldn't have any snow at all (well, in 2000, we did get snowed on there,
but it melted right away). The trail is good with absolutely fabulous
views. Lots of open, above tree line hiking.

This is bear country, so don't try camping unless you have a bear canister
or stay at the lakes below the pass with the bear boxes.

I don't think you need any maps. Just decide where you will be meeting. I
recommend that you hike to Kearsage Pass yourself. It is well worth the side
trip. You don't have to go down - just get to the pass.

Enjoy!
