[pct-l] Warner Springs Camping

A little past for the thru-hikers, but Warner Springs resort offers great rooms for hikers during the mid-week. Cost of one room for six was only 65.00 mid-week rate!! Rooms are rarely full and they need our support. ( They love having the thru-hikers come in) Two big pools , one hot ,one cool.
Thru-hikers this year??? Lots of hikers on a trail! Was 104 at Scissors last week and saw lots of blisters on folks. Saw Paul and Pat at Hiker Oasis in Anza and they are up and running. ( Paul has a nice grass area for the campers just like their old place and they built hiker Showers and wash room!!)
Julian was nice as well and stayed at Julian Lodge( cost was 95.00 for two beds though,, high ,but you get breakfast. Gal across the street at Julian Hotel gives hikers a ride back to Scissors crossing. Julian has great shakes and hamburgers.
Water Caches were mostly dry even though folks are working " Double Time " to keep up! I think between so many hikers this year and a few folks " Over relying" on them may be the problem. I saw a few hikers carrying too little over from Scissors to Barrel and using the cashes as their main water source instead of just using them to " TOp Off". Same deal with Lucky Five.
Kick_Off was great as well and the Kaos was was well managed by Carl ( PCT 1977) in Greg's absents. ( Family emergency) Can't believe as the hikers this year!! The AT has arrived,,,to the PCT
