[pct-l] Sierra Snow Melt

The Southern Sierra snow melt is aiming to be clear of snow near the record
1977 date of the second or third week of May. See
http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/current/PlotSWC

Should this trend continue, i.e., no more significant storms, then you who
are looking to enter the Sierra around the Ray Jardin day of June 15th are
likely to find no snow whatsoever and not require an ice axe, perhaps, either.
Stay tuned and make your own decisions about when to enter based upon your
experience levels and equipment.
