The news report I read stated that the 90 year old woman was FROM Warner Springs. She apparently became lost in the area of Yucca Valley, running her car off a road into brush, which caught fire. She DIDN'T walk away from her car. She had gotten out of her car, then walked back to get a jacket which she "rolled up " to make a pillow and laid down next to her car, where she was found dead the next day.

A 90 year old women was found dead alone a trail head at Werner Springs. Her
car started a brush fire and she walked away to get help but returned to car
and died. Evidently she had no water.
I was in Julian for Easter and had their great Apple Pie. The trees and plant
life are turning green in most area that burned along the highway.
I did Mt. Pacifico Saturday. Had rain under 5500 and snow above. Trail in
great condition.
