I though it was an OK town and had a good time there.  It has/had a small 
store, restaurant with beer/booze, a laundry and a river to sleep by.  What more 
can a thru-hiker want or need?

And last but not least, in '99 one of the hikers won the wet T-shirt contest 
during biker weekend.
