The lodge is not within the wilderness boundary.

The Elk Meadows shelter is still there, or it was last sumer. I spent a
weekend up there cleaning up fire rings on the outside of the back of the
building under the trees. Also there were 2 fire rings in front. I still
haven't figured out why there were fires under the trees in the back of the
shelter.

Mine not to reason why, mine just to clean up after people.
