[pct-l] Nasty Bull at Eagel Rock

The bull comment wasn't from me. It was from someone else who posted on the e-list.
When Paul (Cpt. Bivy) Freiman and I crossed these pastures, we saw the herd of cows, but no bull in sight.
We crossed unchallenged, though I continually calculated my running time to the nearest crop of boulders to scramble onto, just in case.

This 8 mile stretch would be perfect for an easy overnighter for scouts! I passes several awesome campsites along the trail with sandy flat spaces under large oak trees, within steps of clear water streams!
I would have rather camped in these spots than at Barrel Springs.

Note to future hikers: just 4 miles past Barrel Springs (northward) is where you'll find these campsites. Quiet too, cuz it's not next to the highway!

Subject:	[pct-l] Nasty Bull at Eagel Rock

Hi all,

On AsABat's water site Mike S. has a comment about a nasty bull in the
general area of Eagle Rock (north of Barrel Springs). I am thinking of
taking a scout troop through that area in about a month to help them
earn their Hiking merit badge, but will change locations if there looks
like there will be safety issues.

Anyone have any info on the nasty bull?

Thanks in advance.

Mike Maurer
