[pct-l] Sleeping Bag advice

I can say w/ great certainty that, as of 2 weeks ago, Western
Mountaineering, purveyor of fine sleeping bags, is alive and well. That's
when I got my Megalite from them, which I get to test out next week in the
higher elevations of Death Valley NP. Woohoo!

You perhaps have misinterpreted my recent post about Western
Mountaineering the store (previously in Santa Clara, CA) vs. Western
Mountaineering the sleeping bag company (alive and well, AFIK). They are
completely different, but you are not the first person to confuse the
two.

BTW - I have made multiple summer trips to the Sierra with a Western
Mountaineering Ultralight and have not been cold (but I am also a warm
sleeper). Temps can easily approach freezing, depending on altitude.

Regards,
Kent.

BTW, I'm gathering from a couple of posts that WM is now defunct? If
it's
true, that's a real shame - they made beautiful and functional gear.
