Hey John,
   The store's phone # is (760) 765-0813. Known as the "Banner Store",
however in the phone book, it and the surrounding services are called
"Banner Recreation Ranch". The store hours are 8-6, seven days a week. The
store used to see more thru-hikers, when the temporary route popped-out just
down the road. The place is now kinda out-of-the-way. Used to stop by there
frequently, on the way to desert overnight backpack trips.

The SC PCT Guide Book (page 85) talks about "a small resort with a store,
restaurant, phones and camping".  I have been trying to locate a phone
number for any of these places to get additional information.  Can anyone
assist in providing some information about these places and/or phone
numbers.  Thanks ...John
