Well, Banner is just North of the trail near Rodriguez Spur Truck Trail.
I passed through Banner getting to my trail jump off at Cuyamaca a couple weeks ago.

The Banner Queen Trading Post is about 2-1/2 miles north of the trail, traveling along Rodriguez.

A (very) quick web search resulted in an artist's gallery here, with a phone number of (760) 765-2168 or (760) 765-0815. 
Perhaps this phone number can lead to other contacts in Banner for you.

The SC PCT Guide Book (page 85) talks about "a small resort with a store, restaurant, phones and camping".  I have been trying to locate a phone number for any of these places to get additional information.  Can anyone assist in providing some information about these places and/or phone numbers.
