[pct-l] KM to Onyx, Bakersfield

Once you're in Onyx, you can catch a Kern. Co. bus (small, 20 passenger
variety) to Lake Isabella. From there hop on another one to Bakersfield. Be
prepared to have interesting/downright frightening fellow passengers. On my
ride from L.I. to Bakersfield, half of the 8 other passengers were recent
ex-cons, regaling each other with stories of their anti-social heroics. I
tried to look big and held my backpacking very closely.

Don't remember the website for Kern Co. transit, but found it easily enough
via Google...

How easy will it be to thumb a ride mid-week from KM to Onyx (or as far as
Bakersfield) on or near 4/21? Is there any scheduled transit? Buses? Taxis?
Rickshaws? Will anyone be hiking in this section and offer a lift in
exchange for gas, or food, or maybe wash your dog?
