[pct-l] 395 Corridor Transportation for JMT Trip?

This must have been asked on this list a thousand times before, but I
couldn't find any recent information in a web search.

I'll be hiking the JMT southbound in late August.  I need to find out
about transportation options from Lone Pine back to Mammoth Lakes or Lee
Vining.

I know about the Yarts busses that go from Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite
Valley.  What I have had trouble finding is information about getting from
Whitney Portal to Mammoth lakes.

I assume that we'll have to hitch from Whitney Portal into Lone Pine,
unless we find some really expensive limo or taxi service.

Can anybody point me to some, up-to-date information about my options?
