it's true, early season hikers need not bring a rod, a line and fly or
hook/bug is all you need at the lakes in the evening/early morning.
I've always laughed at the vision of helicopters stocking the high lakes
such as mono pass, where I've viewed trout....the high trout always have
huge monster heads and lean mealy bodies.
