I can't think of anyplace that bikes are legal on the PCT other than where
the PCT is on a road. Even the PCT on BLM land prohibits bikes and motors. I
don't know the fine, but it's probably in the CFR somewhere. I spoke with
the wilderness manager for the Cleveland NF at the trail work party at
Barrel Springs last month. He said he is going to put more effort into
enforcement in the San Felipes. I also understand tickets have been written
recently in the Chihuahua Valley section.
