There is a trail, but I've never taken it. According the NPS map of Sequoia
King's Canyon, there is a trail shortly after the JMT first joins the PCT
(north of Whitney) at Wallace Creek. At Lodgepole Village you could
resupply, do laundry and shower. I believe it opens mid-May.

Also, in Yosemite, you could pay the $20 (it may be +/- $5) for the tour
bus to take you from Tuolumne Meadows to the Mariposa Grove. It's a crowd,
but I still enjoy it.
