[pct-l] Etna "Hiker Hut" closed

Rediculous and unnecessary, unless you live for 150 mile hauls. You'll
regret that extra weight on the long, steep climb out of Castle Craigs State
Park.

Go into Etna anyway.Stay at the motel Etna - they'll even take you back to
the trailhead. Re-supply in town and enjoy a lovely, very well-equipped town
with good public transportation and facilities, including a library with
internet access.

If Alderbrook B&B weren't in the crazy state of California, I'd buy it now
that I'm retired.

Hello all,

I just called the Bradley Bed & Breakfast in Etna, CA, where the "Hiker Hut"
is located and learned that the folks who own this place are trying to sell
their business and therefore they are no longer operating the B&B or the
Hiker Hut. Disappointing... Guess I'll be humping food all the way from
Castella to Seiad Valley.

Take care,
J. Bradley
