Between 10 and 6 it will probably be quite pleasant (every year is
different) and hiking in pants and a shirt should be fine.  Before 10 it
can be chilly (40s) and after 6 it starts to cool down.  If you are up
high, by 9 it is pretty cold.  I had overnight temps in the low 20s fairly
often in the Sierra.
