gasline deicer (HEET) as far as I know is methol alcohol, which is toxic to
drink, but I think also the fumes are toxic.  As I have said the tiny amount
of methanol that is put in ethanol to produce denatured alcohol is enough to
send me away from the stove if a breeze is blowing in my direction.
