[pct-l] no-cook hiking and going solo



Do you drive to the trailhead.....   ;o) 
I'll have to admit, while about 80 bazillion more people die on the highways
each year than die in the backcountry, the percentage of people dieing alone
may be proportionately higher for the backcountry.....   =o)

I notice that nearly everyone that dies in the wilderness was hiking 
solo.  But someone already made that point.  Anyway, I lack the 
emotional strength to hike solo, and I may as well admit it. Marion
