If you're resupplying in Lone Pine, try the Dow Villa Hotel.  Still less than 
$20. per nite, I believe, for a room with no phone and bath down the hall, 
and you can split the cost with another hiker.  It's an interesting place with a 
lot of old western movie history.  Does anyone on the list have current price 
info for the Dow Villa?
