Energizer recently announced Lithium AAA batteries.

Lithium batteries compare well against alkaline as they are a 1/3 lighter, 
have a longer shelf life and deliver current better in cold conditions.

They are not yet available, it seems.

I've been using Lithium AA's in my CD player for a month. I workout with it 
and walk all over town. The CD player's battery meter still reports the 
batteries as fully charged.
