Yes, you need to change your philosophy to recognize that you are not the
only person in Yosemite. The food storage lockers are intended to be shared
by many throughout the season--not dominated with one person's pack for
weeks. And why hold a picnic table all day while you're not there,
preventing others from enjoying it?

Maybe the bears (or thieves) will offer a lesson that's usually the purview
of parents: learn to share.
