I used a 20* down bag, without a coating, in a rainy Washington and many 
times it did get wet.  If ever the sun comes out, if only for 10-20 minutes, it's 
best to take all your wet gear and dry it as much as possible, along with 
using a machine dryer for your sleeping bag whenever possible.  Beware of sucker 
holes!  I can recall a couple times when it was necessary to wear my Frogg 
Toggs to sleep which provided extra warmth.
