On the heaviest pack theme I will admit to using a Gregory "Palisade" for several years. Manufacturer's listed weight is 7 pounds. My scales show 7 pounds 11 oz. It was very comfortable and I still use it (full of sacks of birdseed) for training but on the trail I now use a ULA P-2. Blaze
