So....
What's the most tasty dish (menu?) you personally could make on the trail,
using only the cooking pot/stove/utensils you usually pack with you, and
only water, spices, and dehydrated/packable igredients?
I've been thinking about salmon cakes on the trail:
1 foil pack of salmon
some seasoned bread cumbs
binding agent (dried eggs?)
season with salt & pepper (and perhaps some cayenne), mix well. Form into
balls a bit smaller than a baseball, then flatten. Fry in pack skillet
and/or pot with a bit of olive oil. Fry on each side til browned and
slightly crunchy.
There is no reason to eat poorly while on trail.... :)
