We just had a mag. 3.6 earthquake, strong enough to feel if
you're right there but not strong enough to do much damage, right next
to the Simi Incident fire.
Class of '04 and beyond, be sure to read about earthquakes
(and what to do in the event thereof) before hiking in California! :-)
