[pct-l] post offices

I'm planning on doing Echo Lake Resort to Ashland next summer. I was
thinking of dropping off supply boxes at some of the post offices on my
drive down in order to save on postage, but then I wondered if post offices
allow you to do that. Is that kosher, or will they ask me to mail them,
instead?
