[pct-l] starting in oregon
In most years, the snow is just leaving the Sisters area high up around the
4th of July. A week later, and it gets easier. Down lower, there is normally
little to no snow. Same for Jefferson Wilderness area. Washington can see
even more snow. Season hikers can do Oregon in 3 weeks and Washington in 4.
For most, though, add an extra week for Oregon and 1 1/2 for Washington. So,
you might be able to start the 3rd or 4th week of June and get by. But,
each year is different.
