I read about your Washington trip. Sorry.

RE: Socks      Each sock is just one sock, one unit.   Sewn inside each sock 
is another layer of the same fabric. But the two layers make up one sock. You 
can't separate them, but you can feel that the layers move independently of 
each other.

Hope this is clear. I'm not good at describing things.
