[pct-l] Unfortunate News from Etna

This was a deliberate set-up.

I spent some time looking into this when I was there in August on my hike and researching his B&B for an up-coming article I'm writing for the ALDHA-West Distance Hikers' Gazette.

For those who don't know, Daniel also owns and publishes the local paper. Apparently some powerful people didn't like what they read or, more appropriately, were about to read. Suffice it to say, Daniel is fighting it and has considerable backing from the community.

Daniel Webster, operator of the magnificent Alderbrook Inn in
Etna, is in legal trouble. I won't monger the details; a Google search
will find them, if you wish. I just want to say that if you have an
opportunity and are so inclined, consider sending Daniel a letter
thanking him for his hospitality. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
