[pct-l] Rotten Log Blues

this reminds me of the time I took two kinda novice-hiker friends on
the TYT. one of them just could not get stream crossings. me and my
other friend would hop across on large rocks, logs, etc. with no
problem. the one guy would fall in the stream nearly without
exception. me and the other guy would just laugh and laugh at him.
and of course, most of the time he would have his pack on and get
something important all wet (like a camera, or a shirt that he was
trying to dry from the last time he fell in, or the snack he was
munching on). ...too bad we didnt whistle that tune for my friend.
he still has not lived it down. we have to tease him about his "sure-
fottedness" everytime we get together.

I didnt realize that hiking could contain so much comedy. no wonder
I like it so much.

peace,
dude
