[pct-l] Running Shoe

The 905 is designated by New Balance as "off-road" while the 806 is
"all-terrain".

Basically, the 905 feels & is built more like a good running shoe. It's
predecessor was the 904. If you are a trail runner, it is IMHO, the best
shoe currently available (I have tried the offerings from adidas, asics, and
nike.)

The 806 is much stiffer & heavier. It is probably better suited for the
PCT, since it provides the much needed extra stiffness, stability, &
longevity.

there are a few:

805 and 905 are older models and can probably be picked up cheaper if
you can find them.

806 and 906 are the new ones.

the 800 series are cheaper than the 900 series. I am not sure what
you get for the extra money on the 900 series.

peace,
dude
