Carolyn,

I'm not aware of anything along highway 108, but if you can hitch a ride 
to 395 (and can't hitch to Lee Vining), there is a bus line that goes 
south on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  I haven't taken it -- I'm in 
the midst of researching for my own shuttle -- so I can't vouch for the
