California is the perfect example of what happens when people are allowed to
tax themselves (via referendums) and stocks are treated like commodities,
instead of shares of a corporation, with a fixed value tied to the corporations
net value and net income.
And giving away oodles of dollars to bankers as interest payments on the
deficit ought to keep them social programs at bay, while at the same time keep
the larders of people who "count" full. What a great plan! Deliberate Deficits
PCT related? Only if you realize that tax cuts plus deficits can only lead
to cuts in Government services, including maintenance on the PCT. After a few
years of volunteer only trail maintenance, this will be considered the norm
and any tax dollars for trail maintenance will be a long time coming. Good? Bad?
Guess it depends on your political persuasion, right Libertarians?
