Well, the theory is that giardia is caused by carriers (people who had it, 
got over it, BUT did not become immune and still have the bug in their system) 
and not from water sources for the most part. Guess this report reinforces that 
concept. Don't share food is the lesson I see here, because you never know 
who a carrier is and hygiene is poor, especially where water is scarce
