[pct-l] Question about fording streams..

Getting mud in your shoes was never a problem. I did
the same as Jeff. If my shoes were already wet, I'd
ford with them on. If they were dry, I took them off
first.

On a normal day, your shoes will dry completely in a
couple hours. If you tromp through snow, well, they're
gonna stay wet.

Boots take *forever* to dry regardless if you got them
wet in the snow or a creek.

And if it's muddy and the mud gets inside your shoes? What do you do then?
My 904s are still soaking from last weekend's walk up from Big Meadow to
Showers Lake, too much snow obliterated the Trail to allow me to get to Echo
Lake. A GPS with coordinates might have helped.
