Amtrak runs, or used to, from Yosemite Valley to Emeryville (Oakland). Actually a bus picks you up at Yosemite Lodge twice a day and takes you to the train station in Merced and from there you get to Emeryville. There are buses to various Bay Area locations from there. You could also connect with the Capitol Corridor train to Sacramento. In my experience, the train is a lot of fun, and I met some interesting people. Enjoy.

I'm sure this question has been answered before, but how can I get from
Tuolomne Meadows to either Sacramento or San Fran?
In '77 I stuck my thumb out at a line of cars streaming out of Yosemite
Valley on Memorial Day. After about 200 cars passed by me with looks of fear on
their faces I was picked up and in just two rides and four hours got to my
brother's door in Berkeley.
Even if you look like a mass murderer to most, someone will likely recognize
the trail dust and understand your situation in just one glimpse.
