[pct-l] 2004 hikers

Put my name on the list for 2004.  My husband, Scott, and I plan to hike
1300 miles of the PCT in 2004.  That will complete the trail for us.  We are
tentatively planning to hike south from Highway 138 in Oregon to Walker Pass
(starting mid-June, depending on snow conditions next year), then skip north
to Stevens Pass and roll on in to Canada.  We are looking forward to meeting
all you north bounders.   I have a question about night temps in the Sierra
in August, which is when we will be there.  Also daytime temps.  Will it be
overly hot and then freezing at night?  What is water availability like
then?
